Weekly bible study is a time when the church comes together to study the week’s upcoming Sunday School lesson in depth. Lead by the pastor, this assembly gives members an opportunity to ask whatever questions that they may have about the lesson. During the bible study, the members are taken deep into the historical context of the lesson, before going into the lesson itself and moving all the way into the practical application of the lesson in today’s society. The bible instructs us to study in order to show ourselves approved unto God (2 Timothy 2:15) and to get understanding (Proverbs 4:7). This is a weekly opportunity to do so.
