Sunday Church Service is an opportunity to worship the Lord and hear his word corporately as a congregation. Service begins at 10:30 am with Devotion and Praise to help refocus our minds and spirits on God as we transition from Sunday school. Following Devotion and Praise are Announcements where we are reminded and learn about upcoming events that our ministry is involved in and/or supporting during the upcoming week as well as other community opportunities for involvement. We encourage all persons to participate in the capacity God moves them to. With hope that you come back and join us again, the First Lady of our church welcomes you and gives our members and especially guests parting thoughts to take with them. Proceeding our choir, we invite people to Altar Prayer as we go before God as humbly as we know. Our choir then leads us into Music Ministry.
Following their joyful noise is a bible-based sermon, generally delivered by the pastor of Rising Star, Pastor B.T. Lewis. After hearing the word that the Lord has put on the pastor’s heart for His people, we reach the most important part of our service: Invitation. During invitation, those present are given the opportunity to seek prayer, rededicate themselves to the Lord, but most importantly give themselves to the Lord and be saved by their profession of faith, leading ultimately to their baptism in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Before the Benediction, out of obedience to the Lord, we give back a prayerful portion to God of what He has given us through Tithes and Offering.
